Description
The complete collection of the 24 original graphite drawing series completed by Ellen Shea in early 2025, as presented in the Winterreise monograph publication. Set to the poems by the German Romantic poet Wilhelm Müller, Winterreise, composed by Franz Schubert in 1827, is a masterpiece of German Romanticism. Inspired by Schubert’s song cycle, this drawing series depicts the songs’ emotions transposed onto the winter landscapes around the medieval village Noyers-sur-Serein in Burgundy, France.
The collection is being offered for sale as a unit. Each drawing measures 5″ X 10″ in a horizontal format.
